Stock Controller

Duties

  • Receive and inspect incoming stock and ensure quantities match delivery documents.
  • Record all stock receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, excesses and slow-moving items.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and filing of relevant documentation.
  • Issue stock to departments or customers as authorised.
  • Monitor stock expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
  • Investigate and report stock variances, damages, losses and discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling and organisation of stock.

Qualifications

  • The candidate should have an “A” Level qualification.
  • A diploma will be an added advantage.
  • Meat processing experience.
  • Should have good communication skills.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Should be able to use Meat Matrix and Microsoft packages, Excel an added advantage.
